The Member Directory of Business Women's Network allows each member to use one web page to promote themselves and their business.
This web page can be a useful way to promote yourself to other BWN members and prospects, while also allowing you to create an external link into your existing website.
You might want to consider adding this content to your BWN web page:
- A picture - it could be one of yourself or of your products. Pictures are helpful because they help us connect the faces to the names—of both you and your business. Pictures can be a maximum of 200 x 200 pixels large.
- Your contact information. We can add your phone numbers, email address and website URL to your listing.
- A write-up about your business and what you can offer other members. If this content is difficult for you, I'd suggest that you write about two things: first, the type of work that you'd like to do more of and second, the work that is most profitable to you.
- Try to write a minimum of 250 words of text. From a search engine optimization (SEO) standpoint, many of the SEO robots or spiders who crawl the web need a minimum of 250 words to determine what the content of a page is about. So we web developers try to shoot for a minimum of 250 words with a 3 to 5% keyword density. Keywords are all those specific words you use to talk about your business—without using the same word over and over again.
