Founded in 1986, Business Women’s Network (BWN) was organized to provide support, education, and networking opportunities for women in business, including those entering into or already established in self-employment.

Each month members of BWN come together for the excellent networking opportunity and learning experiences provided, and the social activities and camaraderie. Members and guests meet for a luncheon meeting and there is ample opportunity for networking before and after, and business card exchanges.

During the meeting/luncheon, relevant topics are presented by speakers selected for their expertise in subjects of interest to businesswomen.

Event: "Winning Presence for Make-or-Break Moments" by Pete Machalek of SagePresence

 

So much can get in the way of us making the most of our networking time and opportunities. On March 10, guest speaker Pete Machalek of SagePresence will offer a rare perspective on networking and creating alliances. In his presentation, Pete will offer his insights on expanding the relationships in our networks, particularly focusing on strategic alliances: How to identify potential allies, and how to lead the conversation that will position mutually beneficial relationships. Pete's presentation will help us find comfort and effectiveness in doing this, helping us get out of our own way and getting more out of the time we invest in the process of forging allegiances that build our business.
